Born in 1952, Grant has been a lawyer in Canada for more than 40 years. He obtained his degree in business (B.Comm.) from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1975. While there, he was awarded his athletic letter for four years of varsity competition in the sport of rowing. Grant’s dedication to the sport led to him becoming a Canadian champion twice as a member of four and eight man crews that won gold medals at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in 1972. His crew placed second to the Canadian Olympic crew in the 500 metre dash for eight man crews in a photo finish .
In 1983, he obtained his law degree (LL.B.) from the University of Windsor. After graduating, he completed a year of articles at an insurance defence litigation firm in Toronto, Ontario. Grant was called to the bar in Ontario in 1985 and has practiced law in the areas of family, criminal and estate litigation for more than 39 years. He is also now a member of the New Brunswick bar.
Grant and his wife Penelope are ‘homesteading’ on Canada’s east coast where they reside with their dogs Malachi and Elijah. While they are not completely ‘off the grid’ their aim is to achieve total food self-sufficiency. The physicality, self-reliance, simplicity and tranquility are the values that they most enjoy about this way of life.
Grant has been a keen student of psychology, spirituality and metaphysics for more than 50 years. He is of the belief that application of the principles that lead to success in athletics and in business are the same principles that lead to success in all areas of life including relationships, as members of a community, as parents and, finally, in the maintenance of good mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health. Accordingly, a discussion of these principles lies at the core of the content that is shared here at BetterHealthBetterYou.
The Inspiration Behind BetterHealthBetterYou
It is that philosophy that lies at the core of BetterHealthBetterYou. In other words, from the perspective of the individual, it is essential to understand the psychological and spiritual fabric that form the foundations of a successful, healthy life. Did you know that your thought patterns can profoundly affect your physical health?
Health and wellness is, of course, important at any age but should be of particular interest to the ‘over 50’ age group. The years after age 50 can, and should, be the best years of one’s life! Accordingly, this age group is a primary focus on the BetterHealthBetterYou platform. It is Grant’s hope that visitors will find exceptional value in the content that is shared.
